55 Personnel Extinguish Fire in Kayu Putih

As many as 10 firetrucks with 55 personnel of East Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-district extinguished fire that burned a house on Jalan Kayu Putih Tengah IV D No 14, RT 06/07, Pulogadung Urban Village, Thursday (5/2) about 9:10 PM.

East Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-agency's Operational Section Head, Gatot Sulaeman, said the fire was caused by stove explosion. The fire then quickly burned the house.

"House owner was unable to extinguish the fire since it got bigger," he said, Friday (5/3).

According to him, his personnel successfully extinguished fire in 1.5 hours or 10:38 PM.

"There is no victim in this incident," he added.

Pulogadung Sub-district's Satpol PP Head, Andik Sukaryanto, admitted his side deployed three personnel assisted by five Pulogadung Urban Village PPSU personnel and residents to assist the handling.
